A $1 billion green architecture center is planned in Chicago.
It’s located in the Chicago Public Library’s Art Center, a new development that includes offices, shops, a community center and offices for architects.
The center’s design, led by architect Marc de Souza, is inspired by nature.
A new architecture, green and sustainable, will help Chicago to “build on its historic architecture and to embrace its natural and naturalistic aspects,” the city announced in a press release.
“The Green Architecture Program will make the city of Chicago an even more attractive destination for urban residents,” Mayor Rahm Emanuel said.
A few months ago, de Souzas design company, Green Architects, was awarded a $1 million award to develop a $50 million green and urban development project for the library, which is being built on land the library owns and owns from the Chicago Fire Department.
The $1,000,000 grant is for “green” projects, which include “new and innovative design for the design, operation and sustainability of public facilities, including parks, sports facilities, schools and libraries.”
The Chicago Library, which has a library card, also gets a small percentage of the revenue for a “green infrastructure” grant.
In Chicago, the library has the highest number of public libraries in the country, with about 4,500.
The library receives more than $3.5 billion annually from the state and federal government, and about $1 per person, according to data from the Illinois Library Association.
The Illinois Department of Transportation (ILOT) has a similar program for its buses, and the city and state have similar green transportation funds.
The Chicago Art Museum received a $200,000 funding grant to “reimaginate” its collection.
The Museum is “a living, breathing institution that creates, exhibits and celebrates contemporary art,” the statement said.
The Art Museum will use the money to “enhance its collection of contemporary art, and enhance our collection of natural history exhibits.”
“We believe that the Art Museum can contribute to the vitality of Chicago, as well as enhance our economy by providing a vital resource for our communities,” the museum said in a statement.
A spokeswoman for the Illinois Art Museum said the museum is “working with the Chicago Parks and Recreation Department to make this a reality.”
In addition to the library’s Green Architecture project, Chicago’s city government and the Illinois State Library are also planning green infrastructure projects.
The city’s public library will be renovated into a “sustainable living complex” that will be open to the public and serve the community.
The project will include an urban garden, a “Greenway” trail, a green space, green roof, green sidewalks, and green space for skateboarders.
